The UW Madison is proud to welcome back Mark Stephenson. He takes the reigns as the new director of Dairy Policy Analysis at the UW-Madison College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and UW-Extension as of July 1^st. Stephenson has been a regular contributor to the discussion of dairy policy with the USDA and Congress while he was at Cornell University in New York. Before moving east, he spent three years in the Department of Agriculture Economics at UW River Falls where he also worked in Dairy Extension. Stephenson is excited to take charge in his new position at the UW and praises their commitment to create this new position – he hopes to be able to bridge dairy related disciplines and move the state toward the future in a more complex and competitive dairy industry.
