There are a few new faces on the board of directors for the Equity Livestock Sales Association headquartered in Baraboo, WI.

Walter Laufenberg, Waunakee, Wisconsin, was elected to represent district I for
the cooperative. Laufenberg owns and operates a 600-acre dairy and hog operation.

Five other individuals were re-elected including Steve Schleis, Kewaunee, Wis.; Allan Cihlar, Mosinee, Wis.; Les Danielson, Cadott, Wis.; Norm Fruit, Viola, Wis.; and Dean Richtemeyer, Orangeville, Illinois.

In a reorganizational board meeting, Norm Fruit was elected Chairman of the Board; Pete Kirchner, Vice Chairman of the Board; and Dean Richtemeyer, Secreatary/Treasurer. Kirchner is from Clintonville.

Directors are responsible for making decisions that will direct the cooperative’s
present and future direction. “Equity’s directors are always looking for creative ways to improve
operations and maintain a competitive advantage in the marketplace,” says Chuck Adami, president/CEO. “Producer-members play a vital role in Equity’s success and future. We challenge members to stay involved and remain active in their cooperative.”

Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association is a federated cooperative headquartered
in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Equity operates 12 auction markets and services producers in Wisconsin,
Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.
