Do you have kids that open the refrigerator door and stand, and stare?  Do you ever have that same reaction when you go to your grocery store meat showcase?  Well, the beef industry is trying to help elminate some of that confusion.

The National Cattlemen's Beef Association has launched a user-friendly web location that allows todays grocery shopper to go to the internet - match up what they see in the grocery store - and then learn where each cut comes from - how to prepare it - and the nutrition information consumers want.

Meredith Stevens, the coordinator of the site, said that they know there's a lot of consumers that are "foodies" - people who just love their food, but want more information about their food.  They love snapshots when cooking and recipes that are broken down for them - plus they're on line.

Stevens said during their survey creating the new interactive site they heard consumers - and even people in the industry - say "it's really a sea of red out there".  So they decided they wanted the web tool to help answer questions - help navigate the meat case, and have extra resources available.
