The Governor’s Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction is carrying a new name at this year’s State Fair.

The "Governor’s Red, White, and Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction" is the new phrase being promoted - featuring more then 600 junior exhibitors from around the state in swine, beef, and sheep.
There will only be 27 extremely coveted spots in the auction this year.  That highly prized opportunity allows youth to auction their animals and not only collect cash, but also contribute back to the youth scholarship fund.

This year's auction will be Wednesday, August 11.

The Blue Ribbon Sale of Champions Foundation Board says their main objective is to educate and encourage youth exhibitors on producing high quality livestock and related products. Their hope is that those efforts will pay off by strengthening the agricultural community and helping non-farm consumers better understand the industry.

This year, special sponsors have stepped up to help carry the 'red, white, and blue' message to the crowd.   The newest addition to the sponsor’s are Case IH and Bayer Crop Science. With these new sponsor’s help, there is a record total of sponsorships for the auctions 40the anniversary.

For more information about the event be sure to visit the Blue Ribbon Sale of Champions Foundation‘s website at www.gbrla.com, call 414-259-4138, or by email at wsffoundationn@sbcglobal.net.
