We don't usually slow down enough in the farm department to update you on all the "behind the scenes" activities you might be missing.  Let me take a moment and brief you!

A - with a bullet! Thank You!  The WI Farm Report radio network just got its 2010 ratings - and we're happy to report that we're tops with Wisconsin farmers.  These "farmer ratings" are only released once every two years - so we're grateful that not only do farmers appreciate the programming  - but consumers are also gravitating towards our reports for easily understood food news.

B - On the network - we're pleased to welcome Tom Wall from Language Links of Green Bay!  Each week Tom is sharing some insights into how we can better manage the important "people" element of our industry.  It's a message that's not just limited to agriculture - but any business.  You can learn more about Tom Wall and Language Link - as well as listen back to our programs - by clicking HERE!

C- WIN - with the Farm Show!  Now is the time to grab your cell phone and text to win!  By the end of this week, the WI Farm Report will be awarding tickets to the 2010 Badger Steam and Gas Engine show, August 20-22 outside of Reedsburg.  You can text the word "Badger" to the number 60193 to qualify for those tickets!

D - Working on Farm Aid too!  Keep checking back for details on how you can win a special prize package for the 2010 Farm Aid concert - coming for the first time to Wisconsin.  October 2nd - Miller Park in Milwaukee.  The Farm Report will be sending more then one winner - just check back for details!

E - Ashley Nimtz is in the home stretch of her summer internship with the farm department.  Hopefully you've had a chance to check Ashley's unique stories from the WI State Fair!  She just concluded exhibiting in her final Jr. dairy event at the Wisconsin State Fair.  Don't hesitate to let Ashley know what you learned from her daily postings!

F - Remember - you can follow WI Farm Report activities on Facebook and Twitter too!  Just click on the Facebook or Twitter icons at the upper right side of our web site - and you can get connected with us throughout the day! On Facebook - search for the Fabulous Farm Babe fan page!  Same thing on Twitter!

G - Farm travelers might also be interested in an upcoming "ALL TRIP REUNION"!  For 10 years, I've been blessed to host tours around the world looking at different cultures, the food they produce, and how they do it.  On Sunday, August 29th - there will be an "All Trip Reunion" at the East Madison Business Club off Monona Ave.  All previous travelers are invited - and they're welcome to bring guests and family too.  Cost of the brunch will be $12.50 - and you'll need to RSVP by calling 877-301-3276 or email pam@midwestfamilybroadcasting.com
