Farm News: Marathon County Hosting A Fall FestcommentsPosted: 08.13.2010 In eleven months Marathon County will be hosting the largest outdoor farm show in Wisconsin – Farm Technology Days. The Marathon County Farm Technology Days Hospitality Committee is inviting the community to “Fall Fest” for an afternoon of entertainment and great food! Fall Fest will take place at Willow Springs Garden, north of Wausau on Hillcrest Drive, on Sunday, August 29th, noon – 5 pm. Admission is free, games for the children will be provided, Y106.5 will be providing music, and fresh roasted corn and pork will be sold on site. Also available for sale will be official Marathon County Farm Technology Days sweatshirts, hats, t-shirts, tote bag and travel mug.
Farm Technology Days started in 1953, the show moves from county to county and is hosted by a different farm each year. With over 600 exhibitors, the show draws agriculture and rural visitors from Wisconsin and surrounding states. The July 12-14, 2011 show will be held at the Ken & Karen Seehafer farm on Hwy. 97, north of Marshfield.
