Fond du Lac authorities say a town of Byron farmer has died as a result of a head injury he suffered in a tractor accident this week.

The sheriff's office says it was notified Friday that 59-year-old Lee Batterman had died at a hospital.

Authorities say Batterman was on his farm Thursday afternoon
when he was hit by a tractor driven by his 26-year-old son.
Batterman suffered serious head injuries but was conscious when
emergency responders arrived.

The Reporter of Fond du Lac says Batterman was airlifted to the
hospital.

The sheriff's office and Fond du Lac County medical examiner's
office are investigating.
