The Wisconsin Agribusiness Council (WAC) is getting ready for their 24^th annual Agri-Auction, Thursday at Mandt Park in Stoughton.  Start time is 6:00pm. 

Ferron Havens, WAC President/CEO, says despite a tough economy -  the agriculture industry will always come through with items, bidders, and attendees. He says the goal of the auction is to showcase all of Wisconsin Agriculture’s products. This year, over 200 businesses have donated items to help do just that. 

 

Havens says that the money raised from the auctions helps them to continue being one of the leaders in Agriculture Education. He says that the WAC educated about 150,000people every year. They have many different booklets to help educate people of all ages. They can also help find speakers for various events. 

 

Havens says they'll be auctioning off all kinds of items - from agricultural products and services to recreation activities, and all kinds of different foods and beverages. 
 

This auction is one of the WAC’s largest fundraisers. They also have another auction during the winter  in Dorchester, WI.
