Farm News: Ethanol Plant Hosting Green ExpocommentsPosted: 09.01.2010 A Wisconsin ethanol plant wants to thank its community – and demonstrate how energy independence is right in their back yard. Thursday, September 16th – Didion Ethanol, LLC in Cambria will launch its first “Didion Green Energy Expo” with the focus on renewable and sustainability awareness. The expo will run from 2-7 p.m. at their ethanol facility on Highway 146 in Cambria. It’s free and open to the public. For people with questions – there’s an expert panel discussions that starts at 2:30 with 3-4 industry experts to spark educational discussions around a renewable and
sustainable way of life and the ethanol industry.
Christine Lindner, 2010 Alice in Dairyland will be at the Expo with her E-85 Flex-Fuel
Chevrolet Tahoe. For the young guests – there will be a special appearance by “Captain Cornelius” and they’ll be able to make their own putty from corn starch and also participate in a coloring contest for a chance to win a gift card.
A program by Didion will begin at 6pm and will include a flag raising ceremony by the American
Legion with the Friesland Band accompanying. Didion will also present awards and donations
including $25,000 to the Old Mill Foundation (www.oldmillfoundation.com).
