Farm News: Castle Rock Joins Growth EnergycommentsPosted: 09.07.2010 Four new producers, including one in Wisconsin - have joined Growth Energy. Growth Energy is the largest coalition of ethanol producing plants in the United States. Plymouth Energy, located in Merrill, Iowa, was established in 2005 with the goal of enhancing the area’s economy and supporting the farming community. The plant produces 50 million gallons of undenatured ethanol per year (mgy). Castle Rock Renewable Fuels is managed by Marquis Management which also manages Growth Energy member plant Marquis Energy, LLC. It is located in Necedah, WI.
“We are very pleased to add these four new members to our diverse and growing membership,” said Growth Energy CEO Tom Buis. “Every new member that we add to our team helps us achieve our goals of increasing the production and use of ethanol to make America economically stronger and more energy secure.”
Yuma Ethanol, LLC, located in Yuma, CO and Bridgeport Ethanol, LLC, located in Bridgeport, NE are sister plants to Growth Energy member Sterling Ethanol. Both plants are wet grain plants that are owned by local investors that include farmers, ranchers and business people. Each plant produces 40 million gallons of ethanol per year and approximately 350,000 tons of distiller’s wet grain.
“Sterling Ethanol LLC and Now Yuma Ethanol, LLC and Bridgeport Ethanol, LLC are very proud to be part of the Growth Energy team,” said David Kramer, President, G.M., and Board member of the plants. “I am very excited to have all three of our plants involved with such a great organization. The Leadership that I see with Growth energy is second to none and we are excited to work together to strengthen our American Ethanol image to the public”.
