Farm News: Vilsack In WI On FridaycommentsPosted: 09.10.2010 President Barack Obama isn't the only administration official spending time in Wisconsin. Friday, U.S. Ag Secretary, Tom Vilsack will be touring western Wisconsin with Third District Congressman, Ron Kind. Friday afternoon Vilsack will be visiting growers and farm group leaders at the Goplin Homestead Dairy outside of Osseo. From there he'll move on to Strum where he'll be discussing rural economic development with community leaders. This week the Obama administration announced that the president will swing back through America's Dairyland on Tuesday, September 28th - opening day of World Dairy Expo. Officials have not announced the location for the presidents "town hall" meeting yet. |
