Farm News: Cow Intentionally Shot

 Authorities in eastern Wisconsin
say they've identified an 18-year-old man as the person who shot a
possibly pregnant cow with an arrow.

Kewaunee County deputies say they'll refer charges against the
Algoma-area man to prosecutors.

Sheriff Matt Joski declined to identify the man. Joski says the
teen shot the cow intentionally and from close range a few weeks
ago in the small Town of Ahnapee.

The full-size Scottish Highlander was struck in the side. It
survived, but its owners worry the wound could get infected.
They also say the cow may have been pregnant, and if so it's
unclear whether the calf might have been injured.

Glen Lardo is the son-in-law of the cow's owners. He tells
WLUK-TV it's upsetting that someone would do something like this.
